1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out prohibited and required conduct when using the AdviserAlly platform operated by AdviserAlly Limited ("AdviserAlly Limited", "we", or "us"), including the CRM, Agentic Colleagues, AI chatbot widgets, Knowledge Sources, landing pages, forms, email/SMS, and APIs. It supplements our Terms & Conditions, Terms of Use, and Fair Use Policy (which addresses capacity and rate limits).
2. Who this applies to
- Customers and their authorised users of the AdviserAlly workspace.
- Website visitors interacting with customer chatbot widgets or forms hosted by AdviserAlly.
- Anyone accessing adviserally.com marketing sites, demos, or APIs.
3. Prohibited content and activity
You must not use the Service (including chatbots, Colleagues, Knowledge Sources, or uploads) to create, request, host, distribute, or facilitate any of the following:
- Illegal content or activity under the laws of England and Wales or any applicable jurisdiction.
- Child sexual exploitation or abuse material (CSAM) — zero tolerance.
- Sexual content, pornography, or erotic role-play in business chat surfaces.
- Hate speech, harassment, or content that demeans protected groups.
- Extremism, terrorism, or violent radicalisation content.
- Instructions enabling self-harm or suicide (crisis support signposting excepted).
- Cybercrime or hacking assistance — including phishing kits, malware/ransomware, credential stuffing, authentication bypass, SQL/NoSQL injection tutorials, reverse shells, or DDoS tools.
- Jailbreaks or attempts to make the AI leave its product role — including "ignore previous instructions", DAN/developer-mode prompts, or demands to reveal system prompts, API keys, or internal tools.
- Unethical or illegal programming (keyloggers, stealers, carding tools, exploit kits, spyware).
- Fraud, identity theft, money laundering, weapons offences, or other criminal schemes.
- Defamation-for-hire, doxxing, or scraping competitors' private data.
- Spam, phishing, or deceptive communications via widgets, forms, email, or SMS.
- Intellectual property infringement or uploading content you do not have rights to use.
- Attempts to probe, attack, overload, or disrupt the Service or other customers' data.
- Using chatbots to give regulated advice (financial, legal, medical, or otherwise) without appropriate human oversight where the Customer's sector requires it.
4. Customer duties for AI and Knowledge Sources
- You are responsible for Knowledge Sources, trained answers, and content shown to website visitors.
- You must review AI outputs that could affect clients before relying on them in regulated contexts.
- You must not train chatbots with misleading or unlawful material.
- You must ensure visitors understand they are interacting with an AI assistant on your business's behalf.
5. Enforcement
We may investigate suspected breaches. Without limiting other rights under the Terms & Conditions, we may throttle, suspend, or terminate access; remove or disable widgets, Knowledge Sources, or landing pages; preserve logs; and report unlawful activity to law enforcement. Platform safety controls may refuse prohibited chat content and notify AdviserAlly Limited.
6. Reporting
Report suspected misuse or illegal content to [email protected]. Provide URLs, account identifiers, and timestamps where possible.
7. Updates
We may update this AUP to reflect law, product changes, or abuse patterns. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice where practicable. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
